Villa exterior:Radda in Chianti, with all necessary shops and a selection of restaurants and cafés is 5 kms away and both Siena and Florence are easily accessible at 29 kms and 60 kms respectively. The villa is approached just off the road which runs between Montevarchi and Radda in Chianti, up a cypress tree lined driveway. It is surrounded by a well maintained garden with lawns and trees, and there is a beautiful 14 x 7m swimming pool with diving board from where the wonderful views can also be enjoyed. There are ample sun loungers, as well as a small building with barbecue, a kitchenette and a bathroom with WC washbasin and shower. In a far corner of the grounds there is a converted barn, with separate access, where the owner lives occasionally when he is in residence and where the two housekeepers live.
Villa interior:The villa is beautifully furnished in a traditional style with wood beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and whitewashed walls. The layout is such, with a kitchen, living area and bedrooms on each floor, that it would be ideal for two families or groups of friends wanting to holiday together yet retain a degree of privacy. Families with very small children, please note that there is no shallow end in the pool (minimum depth of 1 metre) and access is by ladder, not steps). Amenities at the property include telephone with internet access, fax, satellite television and stereo system. Central heating is payable on consumption. There is also a wood burning oven for baking pizza and bread.

The nearby castles of Spaltenna, San Donato in Perano and Vertine can be seen from the property and, on clear days, the views stretch to the Castle of Brolio. At night, the lights at Vertine provide a romantic backdrop for meals by candlelight on the first floor terrace, or the vine-covered loggia below.
