Villa exterior:

To the rear of the house, the rooms open to a covered terrace with outdoor dining area, leading to a well maintained lawned garden with swimming pool (12 x 5m). The grounds and swimming pool are maintained by a gardener who lives in a separate farmhouse on the estate, and his wife provides the maid service.

Villa interior:

The current owners have restored the house with impeccable taste. Use of soft ‘Siena yellow’ adds to the light and spacious ambience, and complements the wood beamed ceilings, brick archways, vaulted ceilings and cotto floors. All the tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms are hand-painted. Amenities include satellite television with DVD, stereo CD player, telephone (with unit counter) and air conditioning. Central heating and firewood are payable on consumption.

Ground Floor
Entrance hall. Spacious living/dining room divided into sections by large brick archways. There is a fireplace in the central section and glass doors at one end to outside, where there is a wood burning oven and barbecue. Glass doors at the dining room end of the room open to the covered furnished terrace. Large well equipped kitchen, including a very large gas hob, also with steak grill, oven and dishwasher. An open brick archway in the kitchen creates a delightful informal dining area on one side. There is also a glass door to outside. Laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. Landing with guest WC and washbasin.

First Floor
Double bedroom with antique fireplace. Spacious bathroom with bath and two washbasins. Double bedroom with en-suite private bathroom (shower). 3 twin bedrooms. Spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Smaller bathroom with shower.

Villa location:

This beautiful farmhouse, dating from the 13th century, sits on a hillside in the countryside south of Siena, with magnificent views over the soft hills of the Arbia river. The house is part of a large farming estate, which includes the main 17th century villa with formal park and a tennis court, to which guests at the farmhouse have access. The farmhouse is totally separate from the rest of the estate with fenced grounds to afford maximum privacy. There is also a private parking area near the entrance to the house.
