Villa exterior:Newly decorated and furnished with antiques and taste, this magnificent villa is located between Joucas and Roussillon. It is filled with light and lovely colors; the walls are painted a creamy while, and the floors are blocks of off-white stone. From the living, dining and kitchen areas, as well as from the flagstone terrace that runs the length of the façade of the house, there are splendid views over the Luberon and the famous village of Roussillon. The villa is situated on one hectare (2.5 acres) of terraced land surrounding the property and a pool (9m x 4m) with steps. On the terrace is a wrought-iron table for six, a built-in stone barbecue, and a straw-covered awning. There are steps that lead from the terrace, past the rose gardens to the pool. Around the pool are good-quality lounge chairs. There is a garage and petanque field, as well.
Villa interior:(148 m2) All on one floor: The living room includes an 18th-century fireplace, a comfortable sofa, armchairs and a coffee table. Concealed in an armoire are a Satellite TV (with CNN and BBC), and a small stereo system with a CD player. There is a dining room with a walnut long table with seating for eight. The large, fully equipped kitchen has a double soapstone sink, beautiful cabinets, dishwasher, large refrigerator, 4-burner stove (gas), microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and a wrought-iron table with marble top for eating or food preparation. Partial walls separate these three rooms, but the high archways create an impression of space and light. Just off the kitchen is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Off the living room is the master bedroom with a queen bed and an en suite bathroom with tub (with handheld shower head) and separate WC. This bedroom has beautiful views onto the terrace and pool area from the French doors. From the study/single bedroom (with day bed and fax machine), one enters the second bedroom with twin beds and an en suite bathroom with shower and WC. Near the entrance of the house is a guest bathroom with sink and WC. The amenities include: central heating, Satellite TV, VCR, stereo with CD player, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, dryer, two hair dryers, alarm system, three telephones, and fax machine. Maid service is available 2 hours twice per week. Pets are not allowed.
Villa location:The property is situated just a few minutes drive from the village of Gordes and Roussillon, 11 km from Apt (supermarket, and a wonderful Saturday morning market), and 40 km from Avignon. Roussillon and Gordes are filled with interesting shops and galleries, and very close to the house is the well-known restaurant, Mas de Garrigon.
