Villa exterior:

The bungalow opens onto a small wooden deck facing the sea which is just a few metres walk away over some large boulders that front the property and is completely unfenced to the sea. There is also a small sea-facing balcony upstairs leading out from the master bedroom.

Villa interior:

The property’s open-plan layout with its natural wood floors and bleached colours, strikes the perfect balance between modern, designer style, and homely beach-house living for 2-4 people. The downstairs incorporates a spacious split-level living/dining area, with sliding doors out onto a wooden deck and the unfenced beach-front, as well as a small kitchen area, double bedroom, bathroom and laundry space (with washer/dryer). Suspended in mid-air above the living area, a narrow wooden “gangplank” connects the second bathroom and the main double bedroom upstairs, with its own small deck overlooking the sea.

Bakoven is a small and exclusive residential neigbourhood immediately adjoining the popular beach resort of Camps Bay and is in a stunning location on the lower slopes of Table Mountain and the “Twelve Apostles” mountains as they stretch down to meet the dramatic Atlantic Ocean coast-line. Bakoven is walking distance or about a 2 minute drive from the centre of Camps Bay where there is a beautiful long sandy beach lined with palm trees and many trendy open-air bars and seafood restaurants, Camps Bay is hard to beat as a holiday location and is well placed for opportunities to explore the many cultural, shopping and other attractions of Cape Town city centre and the V&A Waterfront area just a 10-15 minute drive away. Bakoven itself also has a very small, sandy beach with fantastic mountain views.

Further afield, there are many incredibly beautiful places to visit within one to two hour’s drive from Camps Bay including the spectacular Cape of Good Hope and the internationally acclaimed Cape winelands set amongst the picturesque mountains around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

There is also a wide range of sports and leisure activities available including more than 10 golf courses within an hour of Camps Bay and for those who enjoy fine dining, Cape Town has a superb range of top-class restaurants and was voted the world’s Best City for eating out in 2004!
